Hello everyone, the Region 5 F.E.L.T (Fatherhood Engagement leadership Team) is seeking assistance in spreading the word about this wonderful annual event. We are looking to make this year’s event bigger and better. Last year we had a great turnout and we are looking to exceed last year’s numbers. Every year we add something new and this year we are happy to introduce the Kids Fun Zone. The Kids Zone will be a designated area for kids to interact with their peers; and all of the activities will be hosted by various provider agencies from across the state.
We still have few spots available for provider tables if interested. The cost for a table to promote your organization is free.
Beyond the Kids Zone mentioned above we have and array of activities for all ages and will be giving away prizes throughout the course of the day, i.e. 50” inch Smart TV, Bikes, Grills, NFL Football tickets and much much more.
There will be something to do for all ages at this event; so please share this information with the families that you serve and surrounding communities.
There is a 5k Road race in the morning called the Dads Dash –all level runners are welcomed; and at 11am there will be what I consider the highlight of the day; which is the one mile Dads walk. The Walk is designed for father/father figures, Grandfathers, adoptive and foster fathers to walk a mile with their child. Not to leave anyone out, we are also asking that those who fathers may not be present; walk the mile in honor of their father.
